Matt Soverns is a singer/songwriter and performer from Pendleton, Indiana. Since 2014, Matt has been a working musician. He plays, sings, writes, and learns hundreds of songs almost exclusively "by-ear". By trade, he is a "Piano Man", playing for bars and events where the audience picks the setlists, and he plays the songs one after another instantly from memory. In his original music, Matt is a poet and a storyteller, drawing inspiration from the deep well of artists he has studied.​ Primarily a keyboardist and vocalist, Matt always performs with his keyboard. He is a strong band leader often joined by a rhythm section and, occasionally, a horn section. However, he also busks sporadically with his "street piano". On stage and on the street, he is known for his fun lovable personality, "incredible talent", and strong voice.

To date, Matt has released a self titled EP, five singles, and one 11 song album. All of this was done without any recording contracts. Matt Soverns remains an unsigned artist and free agent. He is not a member of any worker's union. He is self-funded, self-produced, and debt free. In 2020, he established Matt Soverns Entertainment LLC, a single member LLC.

The goal is to build a suitable fan base for Matt Soverns; to put a single on the Billboard Hot 100; to go on tour and touch people's lives through the magic of stagecraft while earning a sustainable income for him and his team; to live & work with pride and dignity; and to receive recognition for this work. Matt is interested in collaborating with nearly anyone who is interested in collaborating with him. This includes exploring any opportunity that allows him to continue working in entertainment and raise his standard of living (e.g. songwriting, producing, session work, record label work, touring, special performances, plays & musicals, novelty & tribute acts, film & television, etc.)
